I found this video yesterday
I dont really like the song too much
but this video, is AWESOME
I think alex would like it
So yesterday my mom left charlotte to go to NJ for a family reunion
naturally, I chose not to go, and so did dad
so we are here the weekend by ourselves
yay...us...
I mean, dont get me wrong, I LOVE my father
he trys his best
but things are SO uncomfortable between us
hes SO akward
and unsoical
and socially retarded
and dosent seem to understand the world around him
plus, hes got the SHORTEST fuse EVER
his temper is the WORST thing in the world
I have NEVER witness people blow up like he does
he could drop a penny and curse to high heavens for it
speaking of which, he would do ANYTHING to save a buck
prolly sell his soul to save a dollar
and it just ANNOYS me
He has no idea how normal people are supposed to act
(which isnt too hard. Its like it would KILL him to smile about ANYTHING)
and his temper makes it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get comfortable around him
but, hes my father
I cant help that
so when he suggested that we go see Walle and Get Smart together yesterday night
I gritted my teeth and said yes
So he woke me up at 10:00 sharp to take me to subway for breakfast
turns out had had coupons for 5$ off subs, so that was his first choice
and hes so finiky and akward
he didnt want the lady to break his 20$ so he counted out EXACTLY 5 1's
and then asked me if i had 13 cents
WTF
just let the lady he break the 20$
instead of holding up the line counting out pennys?
who counts out change like that?
so I had a foot long chicken sub on wheat
it was really good actually
so I let his barbaric manners at the counter slide
plus me and him eat the same
fast, messy, and with no regaurd for anyone watching
hey, I was hungry
:)
So then we are on our way to the movie and he tells me that to save money
we are only going to pay for one movie
I immediently ask him which movie he wants to see me, Get Smart, or Walle
and he informs me that we are going to see both
I didnt understand at first
but then it clicked
we were going to sneak into the second feature
Which, by the way
IS ILLEGAL
I am not going to lie
I am a normal, law abiding citizen
I dont steal
(unless I am SURE I would get away with it. Which....is hardly ever to tell the truth)
I dont cheat
(I TRY not to anyway)
and I dont break rules
(for the most part)
So obviously, I have never sneaked into a movie
but when we got there, he really did only pay for 1 movie
so, before we entered I instructed him to untuck his shirt
(to seem more natural. NO ONE tucks in an ACDC shirt into thier worn out jeans. Who are you kdding?)
observe the workers at the consessions
and to scope out where the closest exits where
(just in case we needed to make a quick getaway)
and YES I am that thorough
anyway, when we entered the theatre I was surprised to see that Mac,
was tearing the tickets in the front
I was somewhat embarassed,
since if me and my dad WERE cuaght, he would witness it
but also that my hair was a mess and...well...
Mac has gotten VERY cute since I dated him
He lost the pizza face and grew out his hair
and hes so adorable
It made me feel a severe pang of regreat that 3 years ago
when me and him had dated for a little while
I broke up with him in the very mall where the AMC he worked at was
so...it was mildy surreal seeing him in the same place after how badly I had treated him those years ago
So I simply said "Hey Mac"
and looked directly into his beautiful brown eyes
and he just said "Hey, how are you."
And I said I was fine, as he tore my ticket and "thank you"
We had a 3 second stare fest before I walked off with my dad
All I have to say is...
OHMYGOSH
the years have been KIND to him
-ahem-
moving on
So we found Walle and found our seats
And I tried to calm my jitters with some chocolate dad took from home so we wouldnt have to pay for consessions
Walle was BRILLIANT
I have to say
It was yet another Disney MASTERPEICE
(and if I do say so myself, a long over due one)
the animation was so SMOOTH and VIBRANT
and the soundtrack was AMAZING
and all in all, it was cute
SOOOOOO DISNEY CUTE
I LOVE the way eve says walle
srsly
and the movie itself REALLY made you appreciate earth and all the green around us
it kinda made me want to go outside and just apprecite the birds and bees
and the fat pudgy humans were the cutest things
(OMG I LOVE THAT ONE GUY AND GIRL WHO FELL IN LOVE. too cute)
If you have seen it, you would understand
and if you havent, I STRONGLY urge you do
its worth the 8$ in theatres
I will admit though, it is obvious its a kids movie
there isnt much dialog
there is a plot preasent
but it isnt REALLY important
its pretty much like a long, adorable, funny music video
also, I ADORE Walle and Eve
Eve especially
becuase she is WAY to kick ass for a Disney movie
plus, Walle made me love cockroachs
and if a movie could make me do that, it must be good
these were some of my FAVORITE clips (from what i could find on you tube)
So after Walle me a Dad pretended to go to the bathroom
then we walked RIGHT ACORSS the lobby
into Get Smart
which I timed PERFECTLY
we snuck into Get Smart without problem with 5 minutes to spare
and we even got middle seats
and my nerves relaxed alittle
I even got a really good glimpse of Mac before his shift was over
:)
So we saw Get Smart
and I will admit
it was VERY funny
I was laughing the WHOLE movie
but at the same time
it has a good plot, and a nice twist in the end
and, Steve and The Rock's kiss was....
OH GOD TOO FUNNY
although the rock was killed
SERVED HIM RIGHT
(you'll understand if you see it)
But I have to point out
Get Smart wasnt too quote worthy
while funny, it left you with no funny catch phrases
the whole movie was mostly Steve Carrell running around with his wacky self
Man hes hilarious without even trying
so then we left the theatre,
getting away with the crime so to speak
and I felt midlt guilty
but also acomplished
like I had just pulled off a HEIST
Also dad tried to end the day with a bang
by using a coupon to get me a free fountian drink from a gas station by our house
it was good
but the fact that the coupon for the drink had come from a goodie bag I got for being on honor roll duirng the year
some what killed it
but....he tried
and it was a good lemonade
but by the end of the movies and gas station drink
I just wanted to go home and have a little time AWAY from dad
hes great, and he trys like I stated before
but he is SO akward
and after a while, I just get annoyed
but for his sake I put on a happy face and told him I had a great time
and that I would get dinner started at 6
I prolly should get to that....
Well....all in all it was a good day
I enjoyed both movies (although Walle kicked more butt than Get Smart in my book)
And for dinner we are having chavapi
which, is a bosnian dish that my dad LOVES
Maybe I an sneak some pizza later
I'll post a Pregnacy update for my sister soon
